Baby, I am your Angel

Today, well technically yesterday, was our 2 years anniversary! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY babyku! It has been 2 years and I am so deeply in love with you. You make me the most happy lady in the whole wide world and thanks for all the support you ever gave and will give me in my life. People always says being in a relationship is hard, and I agree with that. Being in a relationship is not easy but it's also what makes you happy. Open your heart and let yourself fall in love, as deep as you can with no fear! You said my word is "goofy". Well I'll love to be your one and only goofy angel, bring smile to your face and heart. I promise I will make you laugh whenever you think of me.
- Letter to my love, Vlad
Alright, back to my outfit. I'm sweeten' things up with these dusty pink polka dots top and nude ruffle skirt. You can find your feminine flirty with soft shade of pale pink, as well as woven fabric. They are so soft and flow with the wind on your body. Ruffle skirts are so sweet that it could be "dangerous" sometimes. Pairing with the wrong outfit can make it looks like a "princess wanna-be" costume; or it can make you looks like you are wearing your little 5-years-old sister's skirt. I chose the nude color because it helps tone down the ruffle skirt. Although it's polka dots, the woven fabric and the design makes the top more ladylike. They balance each other very well. As you can see I did not wear too many accessories because I didn't want them to take a way the attention of the ruffle skirt. Also because since the skirt is so puffy, adding more accessories will just make the whole look too busy.

This is one of my favorite heel. The shoes have little square metal all over them and they are PINK! It's a combination of soft and hard, how can I not dance around in it?
I'm wearing:
Ruffle skirt from Forever 21
Woven top from Vintage
Pink Shoes from BCBGirls
Belt from Target
Earring from Express

Modern Plain&Print

I don't really know what to name this outfit. The idea didn't came from anything or anywhere. It's just an outfit I pulled together and something I'll wear around a lot anywhere and everywhere. Pattern is always a choice I make depending on my mood. Actually the whole outfit depends on the mood. Sometime I want to be plain, sometimes I want to be bold. However, mix and match is always the main key point. I like to add a bit of "different" on my usual outfits. The top of this outfit is a simple white shirt with a dramatic big collar. It's a more mature and ladylike shirt. I pair it with a busy print pattern short to add the touch of youth and fun. I believe everyone has a high waistline shirt in their closet. They emphasize your bust, they are sexy, or even cute. But one thing is they cannot be tucked-in. Well that's not the case. You can still do that with the help of thick high-waist belt. Just make sure the waist-line of the shirt stays good under the belt.

Wedges shoes are huge in this season and their very comfy to wear in daytime. This wedges are in bright turquoise color, very summer and they always makes a big statement on an outfit.

I'm wearing:
Top from BCBG Max Azria
Pant from Forever 21
Belt from Express
Shoe from Matiko
Necklace from Express

Jean + Bandage Skirt

It was a busy week and I don't even have time to take pictures of my outfits nor to write on my blog. I apologize for that. Finally I have time to go out with my boyfriend and was thinking of taking a few pictures of my outfit but I found out that I did not bring the camera with me. I was about to give up and thought that I might have to wait till next week to start writing on the blog again. He suggested that I take a few pictures with my iPhone. I don't really like the quality of the pictures on the phone but I guess I just gonna have to bear with that this time. I was wearing a jean jacket with a tank top inside and a bandage skirt. Bandage skirt is one of my favorite skirt, it is sexy and fun to dress around with. Do you know bandage skirts are not just for evenings? It's very appropriate for day time too, as long as you put on the right top. I do not suggest tops that are very tight. Yes showing your curves is good, but let's leave that for the evening. In fact a loose top with a bandage skirt is more flirty and fun. To add layers on my outfit, I also put on a jean jacket. Jean jackets are always more casual and day time appropriate. By adding the jean jacket, it really help to tone down the sexiness of the skirt.

I bought these shoes years ago. It's Michael Kors and it's one of  the most comfortable shoe I have. I love this shoe not just because it's comfy but it's stylist and goes well with a lot of outfits. Shoes are something that can be easily worn-out if you wear them all the time. So if you have a pair or a few pairs that you have for years and still hanging good in there, it's worth a cheer. :)

One Day

I've been waiting to watch "ONE DAY" and finally I did today! "One Day" is an adaptation of a best-selling novel by David Nicholls. It is about Emma and Dexter trying to navigate life and each other for 20 years; the movie shows a snapshot of one day each year. There' a few quotes in this movie and one of my favorite one is from Emma to Dexter: "I love you, Dexter. I just don't like you anymore." As we grow up, our personality and behavior changes. Sometimes we find out that we still do love a person (a friend, cousin, or a guy/girl) but as time passed by and they changed, they turned into someone we do not like or understand anymore. It's sad but also many times true. I love the movie very much and it has just been added to the list of my favorite movies.
Enough about the movie; now let's talk about my outfit I wear to see the movie. I am wearing a dress from Sisley. It has a very interesting cutting and tailoring. Sleeveless in one side, and long butterfly sleeve on the other. At the beginning I was thinking to style this dress with layers. Then I realized I shouldn't take away the simplicity yet special design of this dress. Therefore, I took away all the layers, add a handmade long necklace and couple bracelets, put on a hat and I was good to go. As you can see from the pictures, I tied a knot at the bottom of the dress just to tight up the bottom of the dress and add some drama to it.

Anne Hathaway is my favorite actress. She is gorgeous and definitely a great actress. I started to notice her from "Princess Diaries" and started to love her and follow most of the movies she's in since "Devil wears Prada". I think Anne nailed this character. She had to undergo minor changes to her look over a 20 year period in the movie. It kinda' makes me wonder how am I going to look in 20 year?

Country Gothic

First time he saw this skirt he thought of the word "sad". Yes, this long black skirt can be a piece in an old lady closet but guess what, you can always find a sweet surprise in there. Whether it's your grandma, your mom or even just a sweet old lady, they must have some classic or even stunning pieces of vintage in their wardrobe. Well as much as I wish, this is not a vintage; but I do love how it gives a mature look on the dress, yet the mini inner piece and long lace outside make the skirt fun and young at the same time. Believe it or not this skirt can actually go with a lot of tops. Somehow the simplicity of the skirt makes all the tops pop. I'm wearing a flower printed top with this skirt. I know flower prints are very sweet and fun especially for the summer and everyone is trying to stock up on this trend. Be careful when you're choosing flower print, small flower print can make the body look expanded. If you are concerned about dress looking more slim, try a bigger flower print. Also try the same shade between print and the base, not making the print looking too pop helps with the slimming trick too. We all have different body shapes and again fashion has no rules. At the same time we want to "dress to impress", and dress to make ourselves happy and confident. If you love how you look and think you look good and pretty with the outfit you pulled together, go ahead, walk out the door with your head-up and feel the best you can. If you have doubts and not feel good in front of the mirror, change till you feel right. Turn your back on the trend that does not fit you, because no one looks good in everything. Do not let the trend take over your confidents!
