Tough up the sweetness

Mix and match to the max with this outfit. All the stylists and magazines are telling you to balance, balance and balance a trendy piece with classic basic, but I'm taking the risk here to put 3 trendy pieces (in this outfit: ruffle lace tank, bright pink big bow belt, and busy pattern short) together. These are all very sweet & feminine pieces and it's getting way too sweet and girly, so I'm anchoring my look with a more masculine long black basic vest and that's the key piece to pull the look all together. Putting on a fedora hat, beads and chains bracelets, now I have my sweet pieces tough up and ready to go.

Love my new self-DIY vest.. work on it last night and it looks perfect.. applause for myself ;)
Putting on a trendy pieces with your favorite classic basic is still a great advise, at least it works in most way. However if you have a little more time before heading out or if you have confident with yourself putting on an outfit, taking a little risk is acceptable and that's how you make your own look. Have fun with it and that's what fashion all about.
